About

Aline, born in 1992, is a photographer and filmmaker. She lives in Neustadt an der Weinstraße (Pfalz, South-West Germany).

Her work revolves around the relationship between humans and nature, the psychological and ecological effects of climate change, adaption strategies of Indigenous people and nature conservation practices. Portraits of artists also play a key role in her portfolio. Aline’s work is well researched, authentic and characterized by respect for the protagonists. She enjoys meeting new people, exploring remote places and going on adventures. Therefore all her images are based on light, whether shot with analogue or digital cameras, and aren’t AI generated.

Aline studied Photography (Bachelor of Arts) and Film (Master of Arts) at Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Germany. As part of her studies, she spent a semester abroad at Nottingham Trent University (England) in the undergraduate degree program Photography BA (Hons).

Aline is currently working on a documentary project about nature conservation in the Pfälzerwald (Palatinate Forest, South-West Germany). Also she has just completed her travels to Sápmi (Lapland, Finland) investigating in the meaning of the forest to the Sámi and their experience with ecological grief.

She is a member of  BFF Berufsverband Freie Fotografen und Filmgestalter e.V.
